 My entire life I have been involved in one art-form or another as far back as I can remember. In particular airbrushing, carving, and leatherwork have been favorites of mine. Friend’s, family and even strangers have consistently tried to talk me into going “Pro”, however “real-life” beckoned in having to support a family. Five or six years ago I had gone through the transition from “ex-cigarette smoker” to “pipe-smoker” and immediately became fascinated in the artistry of the Meerschaum Pipe. In particular I found the work of Sadik Yanik, a Master Carver, absolutely outstanding. This opened the door to many of the various North American Carvers that have done so much to inspire me such as Stephan Downie, Mark Tinsky, Rad Davis, Tim West (Just to name a few). I have been in personal contact with many of these fine gentlemen and just could not believe the openness and willingness to help, make suggestions and to share. More...
